Problems when reincarnating DM characters

Post by dg2 »

I have found an important difference between the original Atari ST version of DM and the one with CSBwin.

When you reincarnate characters in DM, they lose all their levels, but keep the same main stats (e.g. 40/50/30 for Wuuf) and their secondary stats are slightly higher than those of the resurrected characters. This true both for the ST version an my PC version. With CSBwin, however; the main stats are divided by 2 and the secondary stats are decreased.

Note that this behaviour is what happens in the original Atari CSB version where reincarnated character have much lower stats than resurrected one for the balance of the game. I do not know where and how this was coded in the game, but the behaviour is not the same in the original versions of DM and CSB.

Hope this can help to improve this wonderful CSBwin

Did you select DM rules from the menu?

Oops, sorry, I did not see that was possible. It works fine with DM rules.
