Lands of Lore: Throne of Chaos available! :D
FYI - If you haven't had a chance to play Lands of Lore: Throne of Chaos, you can now get it at Home of the Underdogs site!
It was free for a while and then they were selling it, now it's free again for downloading.
It's a great game! I've never finished it, but I'm working on it!!
Enjoy!

Buy another computer No really, I am considering this option: Buy another PC (200 MHz will be accurate), equip it with DOS & Win 95 (maybe 98) + the necessary soft and let it begin once more... The only problem is money. And people with such old crap still functional .
I have my copy of LoL, but I'd like to have CD version too...

creating balance since 1987
No need to buy an old PC for it. This version of LOL works perfectly with DOSBOX http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/
Actually I have XP and was trying to use Dosbox on this version of the game and couldn't get it to run. Kept crashing after selecting a character and was just starting the game.
However I was able to get it to run in windows once I followed the instructions in one of the text files and changed the properties of the LOLCD.exe memory from the defautl to Auto everything.
It ran fine after that.
I had another version of this game but it didn't have the voices (eg. Patric Stewart) and there's a nice info movie about the kindom history once you setup a character and save.

I bought both 2 and 3 off eBay -- couldn't get either of them to work in XP or even DosBox.
I still have a Win 98 partition though and got 2 working on that, but as I haven't finished 1 yet (and it's been over a year since I touched it), I didn't bother with it. Frankly, I preferred the DM-ness of 1, didn't really like the freeform engine of 2.
Though I loved the original Heretic and Hexen from Raven...
