[Fixed for V0.42] Extra monsters on DM worm level

Post by R.K. »

I've recently been playing the RTC version of DM with twice as many monsters. Near the end of the worm level, I started finding monsters that had escaped from their usual places - first some screamers, then a mummy. When I reached the imprisoned mummy, I found the worms had already been released, though a mummy was still standing on the pressure plate.
  • How would the screamers escape the regeneration room with the door closed? Could they have been placed in a wall, and moved into the neighboring corridor?
  • Could the mummy escape by falling into the pit and teleporting out?
  • Do pits usually kill all monsters in RTC?
  • What released the worms?

This sounds like a bug - the extra monsters shouldn't have "spilled" out of any contained areas (like walls / pits etc). I'll take a look.

BTW - pits in RTC just do damage to monsters (like it does to the party), so may or may not kill them depending on how strong they are.
