Ripping GFX from DMII Amiga Version

Post by Erik Bauer »

I noticed that trying to mix PC DMII GFX with DM GFX gives weird and not so good looking results.
Thus I tought if it was possible to rip the GFX from the Amiga version of DMII and use it to replace the DMII GFX one finds in RTC.

Would it be possible?

Yes, it's very possible and I think some other members may have already started doing just that.

Kentaro has a fab tool for DM2 ripping. Not sure of the link as I'm at work.

If someone wants to work out all the offsets for each of these new graphics (presumably mostly just the monsters), then let me know what they all are, I'll happily include them in the RTC download, along with an "Amiga" version of the DM-II dungeon...

Yesyesyes!!! Pleasepleaseplease!!!

Aside from that I would like to play RTC-DM2 in Amiga-style rather than the cartoony PC-style, it also be better for custom dungeons, since they better fir on with the the style of old DM1/CSB, so you can better mix them.
