I'm looking for a files extractor for Dungeon Hack

Post by DragonsLover »

Hi all! :)

I don't know if I'm at the good place to post my request. If not, I'm sorry!

Ok, I'm looking for a file extractor for the game Dungeon Hack. All the stuff (graphics, sounds...) are stored in the file "Hack.res" and I don't know how could I extract them from this file. I tried using Dragon Unpacker but this is most for recent games.

Do you know how could I extract the file "Hack.res"? Do you know a program for?

Thank you!

Or sometimes you need to be more patient.

XWE 1.11 (*not* the later versions which are broken) will extract Dungeon Hack images. It's a bit of a pain though. Don't think I managed to extract wall images.

Check out this thread:

XWE v1.11 doesn't exist anymore. Gambit, can you send me a copy please?

Thanks! :)

I have a copy.

try this link http://www.geocities.com/dmj4322003/xwe111.zip

Rename the extention to rar as the site didn't like the rar extention.

I got it from Gambit a while ago.

The colours are all out when I tried to view the images for Hack so I
never got anywhere with it.

If you can get someplace extracting the images, let me know as I'd be interested.

In the thread specified above, I discuss how you get the correct colours....

Doesn't anyone pay any attention to the other threads on the forum? I posted Dungeon Hack stuff (minus walls) ages ago, and recently update a the Custom resources thread with a link to them:

I don't know how you guys read the forum, but using the link at the top "View posts since last visit" is the best way because it shows everything new and you don't miss anything each time you come back.
