Noctilucent clouds

Post by PaulH »

Look north for some shimmering silver/blue clouds that defy the darkness! Amazing display at the minute (sorry for poor shots, camera phone)

Seconded!
Was unable to (permenantly) kill off ian_scho (Haynuus), Ameena, oh_brother (Westian), money (Falkor), raixel (Petal) and Lord_Bones (Aurek) in the DM D&D game Time's Champions!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THOSE WHO MADE THE GAME WHAT IT WAS - GREAT!

Lol, glad you like the pics, but to see it - incredible. The horizon was like a streak of daylight at midnight, which for the UK is quite unusual!

I have observed them before, but never like this.

Speaking of weird skies, it's a fairly small crescent moon tonight, but to look at it the moon just seems slightly too large tonoght. Very odd! No picture though...

the problem with photos is that the often don't quite deliver on the majesty of the experience unless you were there to see the orriginal.

Thanks for the pictures, Paul. I enjoyed them. I may do a little 'web' investigating.
