Sauman - a space based game that featured war between humans and machines. Based on your earlier statements I am guessing it is pre-1995. Maybe an war/strategy game based on the "complete annihilation' bit. Hmmm.... I can't think of anything that fits those criteria.
Jan - I think that isSpoiler
Fallout 3. Actually the only Fallout game I played. *Hangs head in shame*
On a somewhat related topic: War! Never been so much fun.

LOL, don't hang your head nor any other vital body part - I haven't played "3", I've got the quote from the intro of "2" so obviously they used it in all the games and you're right!
And I believe your quote is from Spoiler
Cannon Fodder
.
Finally playing and immensely enjoying the awesome Thimbleweed Park-a-reno!
. Don't know any of these. Well, I recognised the "War. War never changes" one but thought it was from one of the Spoiler
Warhammer 40k
games. And I knew the Spoiler
Dungeon Keeper
one although wasn't sure if the quote was from the original or the sequel. But I don't know any of the quotes that are left. It seems I keep checking this forum several hours too late to actually put in an answer to the ones I do know, lol.

quote, i loaded it up and played a level for old times sake. Anything that much fun is usually illegal!
Anyway, i think there are only two live ones (Sophia's and CS') so i'll throw a really well known one into the ring... but the quote is so short, it could plausibly be from anything. So i'll add a clue:
Early 90s multi-platform (16-bit) puzzle game... "Let's Go!"
“Grynix Ernum Quey Ki Skebow Rednim U Os Dey Wefna Enocarn Aquantana” - Anon
All I can think of now is "I'm selling these fine leather jackets." And no, you don't have to "guess" this one, it's pretty obvious. I'm just saying it because I can't think of anything else.

@Saumun: Yes, you guessed the first one correctly. But I don't know the one you presented - I might know it, maybe later you could display a larger image.
@CS: I'm very sure I don't know yours.
And a new one from me:
PS Honestly, I don't know yet how exactly to approach this. Maybe this is too easy? The interface is very suggestive and probably reveals too much. On the other hand, a fragment without a part of the interface is usually too unspecific. Perhaps I'll start making cross-sections covering both the interface and the gameplay window.

Gods! Woot! Good game . My dad loved that one, though I preferred Magic Pockets . Don't recognise Jan's.
Here's another, more recognisable quote from my game...
"Stay a while and listen!"

Right, so here is the whole screenshot from my previous image:
This must be pretty obvious now.
Don't know the other games though. I've certainly not played CS's game. As for Saumun's one, it's obviously an adventure game from the first half of the 1990s but I don't think I've played this one and I certainly don't know the answer - makes me quite curious .
