CSB - ST

Post by Quest »

Would it be possible to add the "ST-version" of CSB?
I mean the verion without the map (for wimps), with
the famous "gibberish scroll "Grynix Ernum quey..."
and with the "nolock door" in the "Ghoul gem room".

Good idea - Definitely yes.

I would however quite like to get the basic layout right first (I don't really want to have to overhaul two files for each bug found),

Once I know that CSB is completable and the majority of the differences between it and the original have been found I'll certainly distribute RTC with two versions of CSB.

On that note - how are people finding CSB (or for that matter, who's looked!)?

Great job!

I just tried RTC-CSB at home, and it's a great job! I couldn't play very long as it crashed suddenly. But I think my PC memory was involved in it, so it's not a bug.
Where do the golden worms come from (in the zoo)?
BTW, somebody told me RTC isn't working with WinXP on a laptop.
I noticed that objects thrown and fireballs hit too early. In DM, they were visible on their next step for a moment before hitting or exploding. In RTC, when they reach the monster they explode immediatly so we don't have the impression that it flew into the monster.
I'll try to fix my computer, for I can't playtest CSB longer than for afew minutes...
