Anything cam be used as a champion 'mirror', though the graphics for the faces are only available on level one (so you get a graphical glitch as a face on any other level).
Also, the activation is still through the object - so technically you can have an invisible pressure pad, but there would be nothing to click on to activate the champion.
The activation is through nf in the third byte, where n is 7 or f, giving two banks of characters using 4th byte 0 to b. Both the hex for this and the characters pads are given in previous posts.
You can also induce a toggle graphic in champion mirrors, though this seems a bit buggy in how and when it will work- to make it work without any other effects have had to:
a) make the toggle graphic the last object in the list
b) the character must have at least one object in their possession (which will be between the two wall objects).
c) The toggle graphic should be inactive, but otherwise needs no other hex (like an empty torch holder).
Without doing this, then you can get the graphics the wrong way round no matter which way you place them, and characters not being deleted so you can continuously select them for regeneration. reincarnation. (none of these will crash the game or have any negative effect).
If anyone hasn't tried it already, using partybones of a non-dead member in a VI altar will reset the character, so they have a blank inventory and half health (as if they had died and came back). It also can mess up the party order, though usually this settles when you swap people around again.
I have not found any way to make a VI altar remotely activate, nor can you trigger these bones to generate by placing another set inside. It's a shame, this would be the most evil of traps to trigger.
