Small things about shooters (DMute 1.3)

1) 3rd/4th byte 8 2 give a ZO spell shooter
2) Any effect can target shooters, not just open effects
3) The other digit in the 8th byte affects range! So 0x gives an infinite range at that power rating, but working up decreases the range more, 1F fireball could go about 120 tiles or more, an FF fireball will fail after only 9 - 12!

Still no clue about the 7th byte though...ah well

Is this DMute? And is this for weapon shooters too?

This was for DMute. DMuild uses all this knowledge, but graphically for the most part. 3) applies to weapon shooters to i believe
