16-state Message Filter

Post by Paul Stevens »

I added the documentation for a message filter DSA
that I think I will find useful. It makes some things a
lot easier. It also makes sequential puzzles much easier.
No teleporting rocks around and such indirect solutions.
Nobody has ever solved my challenge of making a puzzle
that requires four pushbuttons to be pressed in a particular
sequence. It would be straight-forward using this filter.

The description is in the Documentation folder at

Two people, one being zyx, solved it ages ago, didn't they? : )
Cool about the filter, I'll check it out sometime

If my memory serves me right it was nearly solved. Then
when I reminded people of it they said something to the
effect of "I'll try again" then "Damn those actuators". I never
remember certifying a solution.

Hello! :)

Hmmm... You did certify two solutions... mine, then zyx's (the solution Zyx found is by far better than mine ^^).
You can check that at the Encyclopaedia, "New Dungeons Upload" forum, thread "1234"... :)

Hello Beowuuf :)

Yes, I did that with DMBuilder (or DMBuild? what is the exact name?). The first thing I tried was with boulders and teleporters and I was afraid everybody would find that ridiculous. ^^

Ah, yes...... Old age has dulled the memory. While
eating supper I started to recall that it had, indeed, been done.
Sorry about the confusion.
