Total old skool platforming awesomeness.

This is a really amazing homage to platformers from back in the day. Fiendishly difficult in places, just like gaming used to be.

...wow... That is excellent. The way these guys speak about the machines and what considerations they made in designing them, pitching them at percieved niches in the market.

That was a trip down memory lane. It really brought back some fond memories of my good old Amiga 500. :)

Whatever you do, do not touch this plant, known as hogweed, this article tells you about some of the things it can do to you, and none of them pleasant.

it does look like queen anns lace, except 100 x the size. lace is a form of carrot and its root smells like it too, my brother use to make tea from its little root, and he added wild chicory to it that was used in some coffees. i remember having read about this dangerous plant before, i would not want to get entangled in it.

Same guy did this on a crane in Southampton (just down the road from me). Needless to say, I haven't seen that exact view before! Also, anyone's heart not lurch when he shows a hand to the camera at the end?

This was a wonderfully twisted non-children's fairytale my friend and I saw at Comic-con, at W00tstock to be precise. Finally I can see it a second time! Very important, as you will discover...

What about NOT so cool stuff from the Web.

[Rant]
The last version of Skype makes my camera not working "because my PC is too old". Was fixed with an older Skype version, or their "special version for old machines". And they insist to upgrade to the last version and to allow automatic updates ( a default option ).
The last version of Google Earth ( version 7 ) doesn' t work on my machine. Was fixed with an older GE ( version 6 april 20th 2012 ).
[/Rant]

My old stuff is: Windows XP SP3, Athlon XP 2800+ 2.08GHz, 2 GB RAM.

Oh no. Rants are sieging the bastion of cool stuff! At arms, moderators! (but yeah, I hate Skype for several reasons, and all the wave of forced updates with new uncool "features")

me too Zyx... i have it in my bios, i gotta go in there and shut it off for the bootup. i read that the NSA has skype so riddled with spywear, i'll never use it, not that i am doing anything to spy about, i just don't like the bastards being able to do that.
i don't have a smart phone either, damn spy devices.

Poop trucks of Dubai
http://www.boreme.com/posting.php?id=31361

Amazingly, Dubai doesn't have a sewage infrastructure to support its skyscrapers, including the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. Drivers said they'd been queuing for three days! Unsurprising then, that many dump their loads into storm drains that lead directly to the open sea. Tourists are warned of the risk of contracting serious illnesses like typhoid and hepatitis if swimming on Dubai beaches.

thoughtless sand drainage sytem, but living in sand is not easy, nobody wants it as real estate, that'd be like Baltic Ave, monopolictic estate

Fantastic! I love this sort of thing. Interesting to see where it could be used in stage shows in the future.
