Nice to meet you GG aka DM. Image I am and have been for many years, hooked on DM. It's a game you never tire of.

From what you said, it sounds like you have your life pretty much under control - and a rather eventful life it is...

And, looking out the window, I see it's snowing again. :D

I had no idea you had a wife GG! Even more impressive that you appeared to have simply 'picked her up' when for the rest of us (read: me) the dating game gets less and less fun. Oh, for the love of a good woman I would gladly give up geeky pursuits... oh wait, hmmmm, maybe not.

*smacks head* That's why I'm still single!

oh, and to finish 19th in the World Masters -- now that is seriously impressive.

Well, you've got to have something to do inbetween training sessions....wait...what was that...oh...a job you say. Ahhh...

Yes, I've been married for several years now (to another sporty type - an international triathlete). I don't think I fit into the usual geek stereotype I'm afraid.

Neither; I'm track based so spend my days going round and round in circles (don't we all!) and specialise in the pursuit (a la Chris Boardman / Bradley Wiggins...except not as good )

I have noticed that only idiots with half a brain cell call people who can think geeks. I guess rather than calling themselves morons they prefer to give even the average intelligent person a name that might make them feel superior. hahaha...

I freely admit to being a "minor" geek and I consider myself reasonably intelligent. Oh no, wait. I'm as dumb as a box of rocks. Sorry, got confused there for a moment. And far be it from me to imply you were a geek George by being surprised and your married state! Was not my intent! Really!

Anyway, this is a welcome thread -- chats should go on elsewhere. Thanks.

And I never intended to imply that you are an idiot, Gambit. LOL In fact I had forgotten you were calling The Great One a geek. In fact I thought that GG called himself a geek.

Nevertheless, yes this is a welcome thread and I for one do NOT apologise for mentioning the fact that idiots are definitely no geeks.

And to get back on topic: To all newbies: welcome to this fab board !!

GG is a track racer! Bikes with no brakes! You are a brave man. To be married that is.

What the heck happened to the thread? I didn't start it but it looks like I did. Oi... you mods, are you Earthlings using your powers to make it look like I started a geek thread?
