Perihelion from Amiga is good way to go, because it was future world+magic. So team may use standard meele weapons and psionic powers. There was lot of magic class and spells, also close combat weapons, so i thing it should work that way. Hired Guns dont have any magic, and it was other atmosphere.

Lets say you get team from wasteland, poorly equipped (ammo is hard to find) and your task is to explore some factory for abandoned tech. and other treasures. Story placed in postnuclear world, everywhere dust and radiation. Magic powers (psionic) comes from brain mutation in some humans. Its dont need to place many guns, it may be also medieval style stuff (junk) because hard to find some ammo. Close combat and psionic.

I will search some graph from Perihelion for interface and just change colour of my hi-res wallsets to brown, it should work!

You could also use magic as a computer shell or something related (type passwords in front of doors, hack systems, etc.)

A very good Sci-Fi dungeon(s) is Captive.

There actually was a very cool Sci-Fi-DM-Clone:

Xenomorph! Very creepy, atmospheric and one of my favourite games back then:

Since it was so "easy" to clone DM2 with RTC, maybe someone knows Xenomorph and wants to clone it for the RTC engine.

Captive had those handy power sockets all over the place, of course, which earlier mention of recharging weapons had me thinking about.

Xenomorph drove me crazy, to be quite honest, running out of ammo, food... must've been doing something wrong, I guess. Even so, I like the sound of a Sci-Fi "dungeon", and if you use armour as "droid body parts", with Strength boosts and the like to simulate "upgrades", you could almost replicate some elements of Captive with little serious tinkering.

FINAL RIP!

Image

Each sprite is 32x64 in size. Except for the attacks: they're 64x64. If ou magnify them 2x, they fit perfectly into DM!

Have you posted these sprites elsewhere? Maybe others are interested in them...

I'm going for a full rip. I'll get to ripping walls and similar things next. It may be possible for us to get all the HG graphs extracted so someone will write a HG clone!

If ye ar very good at making them it mite work surprisinly well. But only wit' DSB, or if ye make a dungeon editor yerself. RTC has a bit too little options, for example, ye could never create a railgun (slugs are too slow, and ye cannot make them to penetrate anythin'). Needless to say that hackin' the original version, CSBwin builder, Dmute nor DMjava are opinions unless ye ar gonna degrade ye'r dungeon in Trantor's reviews dearly.

Ooh.

Heh, usually when someone asks for a resource you think 'wow, maybe one day that dungeon will see the light of day'. In zed's case, you know you'll get a cool dungeon in the next few months :D

Or weeks. This is probably because Zed doesn't talk, he works. Erm. I mean, I should go back to my work. :(
