... lost and / or unrequited love can put a significant damper on things.. As can having no family.. or loosing family, especially more recently.

Thousands of people who are not depressed at all during the rest of the year experience a trying emotional time during Christmas. And why is that - because it's cold and lonely and depressing, period.

For me personally, this year will be my first time ever alone. On top of a less than pleasant last half of the year ("less than pleasant" being quite an understatement). Honestly I can't wait for it to come and go. I can imagine it rather difficult having no one to spend the holidays with, especially when that's been the usual routine for the past oh, say, 9 years.

Anyway, there's two cents from this Guest, FWIW. And as a Guest, no avatar, so no pic of me wearing a silly hat; apologies.

I am a bit depressed, but I love Christmas! I love all times of the year: I try to make the best of any situation, and I have had some bad ones lately.

Nice hat Sucinum! Ameena was going to decorate me with fairy lights, but not recieved the pic yet.

i was alone the last three years and it didn't really matter for me. the year before, i was guard at the baracks, voluntary, because i wanted ppl who like chrismas to be at home. and i wanted to be at home by myself at new years's eve and carnival, that was the deal ;)
this year, i'm going to my grandmother, but only to make her the pleasure. i still don't like christmas.
nevertheless i think, stupid hats are funny and contribute to the community.

Nice one Linflas, well drawn!

I might make a little Christmas Dungeon. A few reindeer, Santas and elves running about firing baubles and tinsel should be fun!

But I love the subtle irony of a winter's hat on a sunny blue sky.

Ah yes, crisp winters days are fantastic.

I think the umbrella on a sunny day is more ironic...

Nope, it's counter-gravitic. But anyway, where are all the other silyy hats? can't wait to see Cow's one...

And how on earth did you ever become a snail anyway? I don't recall that transformation...

I found a suspiciously large snail in my garden once, so Ameena thought I might be related. She drew a picture and it 'snowballed' from there. Also relates to my DM race efforts.

Counter-gravitivific? Cool! That skirt must be tied down well then.

Do you mean changing it isn't working (it should be working) or you do not know how (but then you have your own avatar already. yes?)

I don`t know how to change that avatar picture into mine own (I know it sounds silly, but I dont know what to sign in that "URL" tile). I painted one and dont know how to change them.
That one I allready use is chosen from given pictures (it`s from Gambit old pics).
Also, I dont know how to add an image into the text tile (http://image_url - what`s this ???)
Thanx!

Just copy your pic into Paintbrush or something, edit it how you like, then save it and either upload it to a picture site (if you have one like Photobucket or whatever) or e-mail it to someone who can - they will then give you the new link for your Avatar.

Yes I like your avatar too Wuffy - very cool :D. I'd forgotten about dong Paul's fairy-light-snail till I read his mention of it on here. I've done it now...took the better part of about 10 mins to do, lol, and e-mailed it to him :).

It's amazing what a clone brush, gamma correction, and stealing pictures of art can do! And of course a cool picture in the first place from cows

And lol, adamo takes me up on my offer psychically...I guess this means i need to check e-mail

Or go to bed

One of the two
