[Fixed for V0.42] DM2 Tree/claw type monsters

Post by rubjonny »

I'm not sure exactly what they are called, but those tree/claw type monsters in the first section of the game that travel underground never pop up randomly like they used to. I miss the bitey noises they used to make when they come up, its part of the DM2 experience

Also the noise is handy for locating any that are near by, and so you know they are there!

on another note, I'm sure that in the original DM2 you wern't able to damage them whilst they are underground, yet you can in RTC. I just had a quick go on the original PC version and it seems that way, unless my party are just really rubbish fighters

No, you couldn't do anything while they were underground - you had to wait till they surfaced and then kick the crap out of 'em ;).

Fixed both issues (sound and hitting when underground) for V0.42.
