Who wants to learn...

Post by Stoverus »

Hi,
I was thinking about creating a topic and see if you would like to learn a little Icelandic tounge, since I'm from Iceland and I live there I can teach you a few words and sentence, I speak Icelandic but I have to write english here for you to understand me. :)
I'm just gonna' check how many want to learn and I'll teach you something, you can also come with words from english or sentence and I can translate them to Icelandic and teach you ;)
Now who wants to learn a new language? ;)

I hate to be cyncial, but this seems like rather an odd first post to me. If this is genuine, Stoverous, we'll know when you respond. Otherwise, this seems like spam... odd spam, but spam nevertheless.

Aww, you are being too paranoid Gambit... I've seen Stoverus lurking a few times, and also luckily we very rarely have a registered posting spammer

the grammar is very complex and complicated, therefore extremally logical in its complexity.

I'd offer some German lessons, but PaulH already knows everything he needs - I told him at least 20 words each for "penis" and "breasts" in Flashchat before, so what's the point?

Yeah, probably. Oh well!

Seriously, Stoverus, if your post was genuine, please respond.

I draw your attention to this line of our rules:
6) Failing to engage in a conversation that you started, especially on a dubious or off-topic subject, will be considered spam and the thread will likely be deleted.
Now don't be shy, if you want to teach people to speak Icelandic, that's great -- so come on back and show us how it's done.

The weekend is good. If he hasn't checked back in the week it's probably spam.

Then he'll have to teach us how to swear at him in Icelandic for being a dirty spammer.

I don`t get it; if he was a spammer, he would at least give his www.medicines/sex/watches/blahblah.ru adress at his profile; there is not any link. He wrote one post that seems normal, I mean he doesn`t offer anything for money.
maybe this guy just entered the wrong forum, DM/CSB instead "learn icelandig" or something, but where`s that spam?

I think he's just building up suspense, get us all thinking and planning a HUGE list of words we want translated into icelandic, until that fateful day when Stoverus returns and says:

Halló, who wants to learn?
