Hey Everyone...
I've recently decided to undertake making my own dungeon with the editor that came with DM Java...
The only thing I'm having trouble with is assigning levels and stats to my created champions. Let's say I want to make a champion. What should his base stats be (ballpark numbers)? If I wanted to increase his fighter levels, which stats should get boosted and by how much? Same for Ninja, Wizard, Priest...
For instance, if I had a character who was a Journeyman fighter and an apprentice wizard, how would those levels affect his strength, dexterity, etc? Is there some kind of formula for which stats ahouls be increased for each level and by how much?
Thanks for the time! I forgot how much I loved this game on my old Atari ST!

DM Java Editor- Levels + Stats for Champions?
When you fall in a bottomless pit, you die of starvation...
The Dm Encyclopaedia has alot of information abotu the original characters, level increases, etc
Since Dm Java is based on DM, you can probably get away with basing your approxmations on those.
I'd advice that levels take slightly longer to learn and stamina decrease is more severe, so I would balance lower rated vcharacters with slightly higher scores, and would also boost the stamina slightly from even the original dungeon characters

I was sure there was a table of variance or an explaination of the random points, but it must be buried somewhere else, or in Paul S's notes from CSBwin!

Good answer, Beo. I found it difficult to estimate these numbers, so ended up looking at a built-up character to see what his stats were. Still not got it quite right, so will try http://dmweb.free.fr/?q=node/691
