Thank you Trantor, and I'm looking forward to releasing it :D

My latest creations are the Black Flames and the Demons. I have also added a screenshot on the Demon on the DMT website.
Now it is only Chaos left to create, and some nice finish to the game. After this the game it is fully playable from the beginning to the end :)

Added two videos on the Red Dragon, Oitu and Materializer at the DMT webpage.

You really whoop that oitu, and I loved the way the dragon just turned around at the end and went "I'm sick of ya sh*t! BOOM!" :P
Great job, keep it up.

Constructive criticism (one programmer to another):
I believe you need to optimise your program a bit. This project is expanding VERY rapidly, and your framerate is already down under 60, thus the suggestion. As you expand further on, you (personally) might run into a performance "hurdle". Out of curiosity, what are your PC specifications?
Graphics look good, but your fog just sorta seems to get in the way (big multi-coloured blobs getting in the way of seeing the whoop-ass dragon), I think that it needs to be more transparent (or less additive, whichever is appropriate). Can you possibly shrink each fog "particle" and just have a tonne more of them? Or would that kill your PC? :P
You could always add variable detail for your fog... so then, when you release your beta people can crank it up and be EVEN MORE impressed with it :D
And last, but not least, I think that the fireball needs to be an additive blending job, it would get rid of the edges, that I keep seeing, and make it seem to "glow", and if you make it create "a trial of sparks" or some such, it adds a real touch.

I'm sorry that I'm spitting criticism at you, but it's what helps us to improve our work.
Now, I believe that my rant is over... :P

The gameplay you've shown is much more FPS-like. I'm not sure if that's what you were going for or not. I like it, but, at least from the looks of it, it's fundamentally a different game than DM, I think.

Doomgeon Master. :D

No, I got nothing :(

Wow, a fireball that leaves a smoke trail?

I liked the vids also. Sophia is right - this is a different fish, yet wears familiar clothes! Well done with your project, Rasmus. You've done a fantastic job.

Again, I agree with Sophia. The first video with the Oitu and the Materializer reminded me of a Doom 2 level, somewhere close to the end with a Spider Mastermind...

True that, Sophia. I most definately looks like an FPS.

First of all, criticism is important and I want to get as much as possible :D

About the framerate:
The video recording software could only record 10 frames per second, and at the same time it made my game go slower. Normally I have between 45 - 70 fps when maximizing all the graphic detailes. Here I might also add that I have created options for everything that might slow down the computer. But I might still have too take a look into this on how increase the framerate. My PC specifications are 2.20 quad core processor with a decent graffic card, the memory isn't that important as long as you have atleast 500 mb.

About the smoke/fog:
First the fogparticles was smaller and more detailed, and I also had more of them, but this lowered my framerate about 10 fps. It is in particular the dragon level that are abit extra foggy, I have tuned it down on the other levels.

The fireballs:
I agree with you and I will take a look into this. The glowing and "a trial of sparks" gives me some ideas, thanks.

Doom?
Hahaha, okey I see what you meen, but too my defense the running had to be fast so that it matches the dm moving speed. This was something I had to crank up because I could't get past some dungeon mechanisms that requied atleast the moving speed of an overloaded party :D Also I might add, it is nothing that can done in original DM that can't be done in DMT, and the options in doom are only running and shooting.
And NO, I will not change the name too Quakeos Strikes Back or Doomgeon Master, hahahaha :D
Maybe I will have too add a less violent video ;)

Another idea. I've never really used the lightning bolts in the original. The fireballs were more toasty and satisfying. However, if lightning bounced off the walls with a reduction of power each time, then it would be a more interesting spell. All of this would depend of the physics engine you have of course.

Haha, that is a great idea ian :D And I agree with you, why waste time putting in four runes with extra manacost when the fireball did the same work. The lightningbolt I have now actually behaves more like lightning than of a bolt, meening it leaves a lighning trail and hit directly. I will do one last spellcheck later on this week and modify some of the spells.

tsktsktsk - read the motto of the website:

and you create Chaos again :P

I have somewhat of an ego request :)
I am wondering when the DMT webpage will get a position in "modern clones" in the quicklink section. Maybe I can get some more pepole involved in my project this way :D
Who do I talk to?

I can't remember* how to do it, so I guess gambit or christophe! :D

*Or rather, I seem to recall I need to find the correct .php file and edit it with the link, which sounds like hard work and a recipe for disaster!

Haha then I will send gambit or christophe a mail so that we avoid that disaster..
I just hope I don't sound pushy asking them :)

Haha, patience Sophia. Two more weeks and you will see fireworks.. As I sleep or go to school all day and program or work all night I havn't seen the sun in two months.. Sometimes I even dream about this cursed game :S

Oh, I know how it is trying to complete a project and having a bunch of other stuff going on at the same time and get in the way. I've finally managed to get some time to work on DSB stuff, and I'm happy about. :D

You really should get some sunlight, though. Don't burn yourself out!

My comment was more simply to point out that adding a link to the quick links for a project that doesn't have any download available yet seems sort of pointless to me. If you want to promote it and possibly recruit help, forum threads will do much better for that. People tend to go to the quick links just to grab something, and if there's nothing to grab, there's no point. :)

Well I do go to the gym a couple of times a week, and get myself drunk with my friends atleast one time a week. Otherwise I would go crazy :D

The reason for the link is that I want as much dm-fans as posible involved with the beta release. More betatesters = better final release ;)
And I must say that I am very happy about all the support I have gotten from this forum :D

A combination of a ruster, a crab, a blackbird, a gingerbread sweet that my mother always makes for Christmas, and Santa Claus! :D
