The excellent four-part TV series "Virtual Revolution" has come to an end. The last episode asks everyone to take part in an on-line experiment to find out if the web is changing the way people think and operate. The experiment has a "fun" part too, which reveals what kind of Web Animal you are:

I am a web-bear: "Slow moving, solitary and adaptable". I think that's sort of correct If you want to take the test yourself, do so here:

(You will need to setup a BBC login to do so.)
What species of Web Animal are you?

I turned on the telly last night to watch the prog after that one, and so I caught the last couple of minutes and thought the "test yourself" thing sounded interesting, so I checked it out once I was done watching telly and it turns out I'm a Bear too, apparently .

Hehe, yeah, I was a bit annoyed by that. They make a point of saying the lab experiment is anonymous, then ask you to register!

I'm not sure what definition of "anonymous" they're using. I tried using a sign in from bugmenot and it presented me with someone else's results, so it clearly saves the results to the account. How is that anonymous?Gambit37 wrote:They make a point of saying the lab experiment is anonymous, then ask you to register!
Anyway, I'm the web rat, too, I guess.

Re: What species of Web Animal are you?
What they mean by anonymous is that when the results are submitted for analysis, you won't be personally identified -- by that point, the identity of the owner of the data has been removed.

I'm a web elephant... Slow-moving, Social, Adaptable (Heavy )
Mostly correct - but other than here I wouldn't really say sociable... that said i use a lot of online communication tools through work like communicator/livelink etc.. Perhaps that makes me more 'social'
