Dungeon Master Forum

I start the DMUTE application but there is no where to open and new dungeon and start making one from scratch.

Also, I open the only dat file and then the application crashes.

Please help

DMute is used to alter an existing PC DM dungeon, not create a new one.

Given your other question, which version of DM did you use this one? What was the .dat file called? Any other .dat file other than dungeon.dat or dmsave.dat from PC DM might crash the program. RTC has its own editor.
