AMIGA: remember crack-intro(german) of DM ?

Post by zoom »

I was wondering if someone remembers the cracking - group intro for a 3 language version of DM?
(Probably was 3.6 English, French, German ;not sure, but must´ve been this version since there is no listed other on ency)
http://dmweb.free.fr/?q=node/1168

Much later I got a legal copy of dm & csb - psygnosis release btw. * aehm
anyway the intro consisted on several screens with directions on what the spell runes would stand for (since you had no manual this info was critical)
again, it was language German...
maybe I could find it somewhere? I would like to watch it again..
anyone know/seen/heard of this intro?

so the Group was : Rainbow Trio
intro built with Rainbow writer.

Anyway , Thanks Linflas!

I found the reference to the demo on the forum / german! (from 2006):
http://www.amigaemuboard.net/forum/view ... f=1&t=2471

THe guy asking about the intro did search for it on the encyclopedia, to no avail. He wondered how the intro could be put onto the disk,
since dm had no free space on the diskette.

A user called "pintcat" knew about it, and apparently uploaded the version(seemed to him/her not to be a wide spread-version)
to an amigaemuboard or so, but I cannot retrieve it.

mentioned there, too (in english)

Sadly the version of DM is not included. MAybe it would be a slightly different version?

Consider .lha like .zip. This type of archive is commonly used for archiving amiga files.
It appears that you can use this lha just instead of an adf in amiga emulator (tested with WinUAE).
Thus, nothing to bother about!

merci Sphenx!!
edit: did you manage to see the "rainbow writer"-text? (the manual)

I just get the first screen with info on
all the checksums he had to remove - quite funny
but I was looking for something that comes after this screen _ did I forget to press a special key?

seems that the screenshot of the site where I downloaded it does not match
comparison: (right one is that I want, but did not get)

Well, same as you.
The intro works differently within the cracked disk. And you will find it at ... http://dmweb.free.fr/?q=node/627.
Download the rar pack of amiga disks and load the 2.0 german cracked one.
That is what you want :)
(and you have the music of "nothing to fear" in mod format ... ah, reminds me MED ...)

Quite a nostalgic- shock! Reminded me strangely, too! Thanks for helping me.
In Effect, it was all already there - on the dm&csb encyclopedia!
