Although the show stays pretty true to the books - there are some differences. I am glad that I read them first...but I think you would still enjoy the books.

Anyone watching this season of Game of Thrones? Thoughts??

I watched the first six seasons and then decided the read the books. They are amazing and after reading the first two books, I had to rewatch the series because there were so many connections that I didn’t catch in the show. (Just one example, I never realized that Ser Jorah Mormont was the son of Lord Commander Mormont and the little girl Lady Mormont is his relative also). The show stayed close to the books for the first few seasons, but then it kind of went it’s own way and so there are two different storylines, but both are great.
