yes , these are great news two , but I am wondering since M&M was good in true 3d movement if it will be good enough with turn-based movement .. I wish It stay like M@M 6-8

I agree, number 9 was in other things too pretty ridiculous - especially the face-graphics.
If they use a lua-db-engine again, they should take care that they hire people who know what they are doing.
There were a lot of bugs in the last games which never really have been patched (which wasn't too complicated).

A little older is a weakness in the battlesystem.
A combination of the paralyze spell with some hard damaging spell killed all in no time. Hope they spot that one.

Might and Magic V: Darkside of Xeen 1993.

Might and Magic: The Secret of the Inner Sanctum (1986; Apple II, Mac, DOS, Commodore 64, NES, MSX, PC-Engine CD-ROM)
Might and Magic II: Gates to Another World (1988; Apple II, Amiga, DOS, Commodore 64, Mac, Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo Entertainment System (Europe only), SNES (Japan-only, different from the European version), MSX, PC-Engine CD)
Might and Magic III: Isles of Terra (1991; DOS, Mac, Amiga, SNES, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, PC-Engine CD-ROM)
Might and Magic IV: Clouds of Xeen (1992; DOS, Mac)
Might and Magic V: Darkside of Xeen (1993; DOS, Mac)
Might and Magic: World of Xeen (1994; DOS, Mac)
Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven (1998; Windows)
Might and Magic VII: For Blood and Honor (1999; Windows)
Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer (2000; Windows)
Might and Magic IX (2002; Windows; known as: Writ of Fate)
Might and Magic X Legacy (Forthcoming; 2013]

I loved the early M&Ms, the Xeen series.
I enjoyed the 3D M&Ms VI VII VIII. The 3DO engine rendering was acceptable for that time standards.
M&M IX is a rip off, the gameplay is so bad, I found it impossible to play.

I wonder about X legacy, and it's computer requirements.

Indeed, the Xeen serie was quite ugly, with a small viewport.....
But the plot, the features were so good, one was forgiving and forgetting about the look.
[rant] Nowdays we have mostly nice 3D rendering, but too many games that have just only that, it looks good but that' s all. [/rant]

I've played MMVI-VIII and enjoyed all of them. I think VI is my favourite - it's the largest of the three and erm...it also has the most erm...exploits that can be, well, exploited. It's not cheating if the game's already like that, right? ;)

VI and VII were my favorites. I went back to play III, I believe, but found it a little undeveloped for my taste (only my opinion).

If I remember right, VIII just went too fast.

IX was a disappointment to me.

Might and Magic: Dark Messiah (I believe that was the name?) did too much wall-crawling (Spiderman, Spiderman, friendly neighborhood Spiderman) for me.

X looks like it will be interesting.

P.S. To my sorrow, I became quickly bored with Grimrock.

Dark Messiah was alright, but it was over all too fast :( They need to work on creating a game that can be played for hours and hours without hitting the end, not just looking flashy.
