Hello happy DM familly games addicts !
I want to introduce you my DM style game, named Dungeons Kingdom :
It's planned for Desktop (windows, mac, linux) as well as mobile ( Android, iOs, Windows Phone).
I have been workin on Dungeon Master / Chais Strikes back / Ishar clones since my childhood for fun as i am a big fan of these games. But now it's time to make a bigger step and create a game ready for the DM community ! The game is quite advanced (you"ll see it soon on more screen shots), including mobile optimised UI Layout.
I'll be glad to here your feelings. (good and bad of course
)
regards
edit: changed dungeon kings name to Dungeons Kingdom to avoid confusion with a game with a similar title.

Thanks a lot for your kind words !

Well i am big fan of Ishar Games, i finished the three games and the prequel named Crystals of Arborea. However if Dungeon Kings exploration will take place mainly in Dungeons, there will be one outdoor part
(but i don't want to spoil too much !)
That's said the next episode of Dungeon Kings is expected to have more outdoors, but...that's another story
For now i am finishing the Inventory / Items systems and it's almost done. I am taking time as i need the game to be playable both with mouth (desktop computers...) and touch (mobiles, tablets). So i have to make a lot of tests according the screens resolutions and the mouse/touch avaibility on the device it's running to get the best ergonomy. I wouldn't bear the game to fail for an ergonomy problem !
Thanks again for the sweet words.
Regards

Can't resist to publish something about Dungeon Kings, so let's go : two portraits
It's very important for me to have nice hand painted portraits of heroes for Dungeon Kings ! Hope you'll like it !

Those pics are great.
Did you do them from scratch? If so that's very impressive.

Well actually i am not the one who made the portraits. I asked to a friend wich is artist to make them from my descriptions and needs for most of them and a bit more freedom for the others. In exchange i'm coding some stuffs for him, we can see it as some kind of creation trading
About the inspiration / instructions, i try to get classic oldschool classes and races plus unknown ones. For the design and style, i drive the artist following my love of the games i enjoyed to play so much like (the whole serie) Dungeon Master, Ishar, Eye Of Beholder... and artist like Larry Elmore, Keith Parkinson, DKS...
For example the elven portrait is not a retake of an existant one, but i gave instructions to the artist about it as i wanted the style and the design to be close to the elven portraits in Ishar games. So it has similar features (face shape...).

awesome, I checked out your website, it looks pretty good so far. A bit thin on contents, but I'm sure you'll be adding more as you go.

Thanks.
Indeed it's a bit thin for now, and you're right, i'll fill the website with much more content soon. However i don't want to publish to muchs screen shots right now as i am working heavily on interface and the visual of the UI can still change a lot these days. So better wait for final look
And it should happen very soon !!!
Thanks anyway for your feedbacks, it's quite precious for me as you and me a propably sharing something big : the love of this kind of games

Yup. I'm doing my own project on RTC even now, so yeah, I definitely love these sort of game a lot. I still have fond memories of spending hours on my old Amiga playing Dungeon Master, CSB, Wizardry and EOB 1 and 2. I definitely prefer the old school RPGs to most modern ones.

Hello !
I am very busy these past weeks, working on another application project on job side, wich should end soon (one week or two in worst case), this include extra work on evening & week-ends until it's available. However, i managed to get a bit of time and implemented the fighting in Dungeons Kingdom, including attack action, fx, sound, damage etc. etc. My next task is the magic handling, and AI (i want very different behaviors according the creature type).
I'll release a new video about the fighting soon. Thanks for asking news

No problem. It's good to see you're still making some progress, even if your paying jobs have slowed things down a bit. Gotta pay the bills, of course.
BTW, are you planing on this being a payed for game, or free? Have you considered raising funds to develop this game through something like Kickstarter or IndieGoGo?
EDIT: One more question, have you developed a forum for your game yet, and if not, are you planning to build one? If you'd like, I could help out with the web development stuff, such as building you a forum, and helping out with maintaining your web site. If you are interested in any of that feel free to PM me and we can start a more detailed discussion about that either by PM or email.
