Good question: was looking through some old ST Format scans to check:
Can see there are already reviews for CSB scanned on this site:
http://dmweb.free.fr/?q=node/891

So looks like a Dec 1989 - Feb 1990 launch window for Atari ST and Amiga - for EU at least. Am sure someone here has better dates though.

Had a quick Google and one result is someone's copy of the game for sale and states the release date as 31st December, 1989. Whether or not that's accurate, however, I don't know.

Chaos Strikes Back has cleared with Atari St, Amiga, PC-9801, X68000, FM Towns (perhaps on all platforms)

Chaos Strikes Back is divided into two types
One is the Atari ST version (original)
The other is an easy version Amiga, PC-9801, X68000, FM Towns
I will try to organize Chaos Strikes Back on this occasion

31st is suspicious, is not it?
And what is the release month of Amiga?

Was Amiga version really easier than Atari? That sounds suspicious to me...

Didn't the Amiga version add the Magic Map? That would be so much simpler than trying to figure out all those silent teleports with pen and paper and OhEwRa ...

Amiga has Chaos Strikes Back Easy Edition (PC-9801, X 68000, FM Towns too) so there is a magic map
