Lots of missing avatars

Post by Gambit37 »

I've noticed that lots of user avatars aren't showing up anymore. Looking at the HTML, they're not even generated. Any ideas why?

Hmm, now you mention it, I just checked and see what you mean. I think Wuffy sorted mine for me - maybe he hosted it somewhere that has gone offline or something?

HI, seems I can delete my custom avatar and replace with a nice alternative from the lists, but not upload my own. Still, Gambit's artwork looks great, thanks. :) Hope this info helps.

also: some formatting issues: scroll down halfway, note margins go... and below that squished-up quote blocks?

as an example, but seem pretty common... seems something on the platform has updated or needs updating, perhaps. excuse double-post, was busy viewing pages...

Sorry did not have any time this week-end to look into this issue, I'll have a look tomorrow hopefully.
Last week I have upgraded the phpbb forum software to the latest version, that is probably the cause of this issue.

It looks like the upgrade process disabled remote avatars.
I have enabled this option again and avatars now appear like before.

@boyflea: the other issue with formatting of some posts was caused by the extension used to hide spoiler texts in posts. An updated version of the extension fixed the issue.

Thanks all for reporting these issues!
