Old FTL interviews

Post by ChristopheF »

I found some old but interesting FTL interviews made by an electronic magazine called "CPU NEWSWIRE ONLINE MAGAZINE" back in 1988-1990.
Here are the links:

Look for "FTL ONLINE CONFERENCE CPU"

Look for "FTL Confrence Highlights"

http://www.koundakjian.com/docs/atari/S ... STR403.TXT
Look for "FTL RESPONDS!". In this one, Wayne Holder gave all the details about portrait files!

Look for "FALCON and DungeonMaster". This one is not specifically about DM, but in this article they mention a Dungeon Master demo teaser for Atari ST that was released one year before the full game.
Does anyone have this teaser demo?

That's really weird: I found those links just last week too. I wonder if they have only recently been put on-line?

As far as I am aware, the teaser demo was only released to industry people, magazines and the like, so it's highly unlikely that anyone has a copy of it. It was a non-interactive version of the first level which simply showed the doors of the dungeon opening and movement around the Hall of Champions. According to Doug Bell it was pretty much the most marketing FTL ever had to do...!
