I call the creatures by the names I used when I was a kid. Except that you guys are having a corrupting influence on me and I'm using the real names more and more.

But Blue Meanies are still Blue Meanies.

Those flying evil things. I can't remember what they're called. Couatls? They'd just fly up to the top. Therefore, they win.

It's not that, it's just that in general, people like to make fun of him so much. Poor Mophus! He gets no love! Then again, I have never used Hisssa in a party, ever. I don't even know how many "s"es to put in his name. I'm not big on lizardmen. I've also never played with Halk, Syra, or a...

I still think I win for really stupid names. Then again, I tend to use names I came up with in elementary school, and I'm notorious for idiotic names. Didn't we have a thread about stupid names at some point? I may have started it. Pooooor Mophus. I'm going to have to say he's my favorite male chara...

Okay, thanks for clearing it up. So we can make thread about random subjects, but it's kind of rude to hijack a thread that's supposed to be about something, and take it off-topic instead. I can follow that. Or at least try to. ^_~

I don't think I understand what's considered going off-topic in these boards. We don't have so much action going on that some wandering tangents are going to destroy the boards, and I'm just not sure what's supposed to be said where, what kind of conversation is appropriate where, and what kind of c...

Mophus is adorable. In a totally dopey and ridiculous way.

I am the ONLY person who likes Mophus, aren't I? Poor little guy.

Am I the only person who actually gets satisfaction out of training? I'll stop and train a bunch in some places, just because I can, and because it helps me level faster. Then again, I AM a very bad player, and I think the farthest I've been in is floor four or something. Fortunately, I have a perma...

Metonymy is correct. I can get you another definition from my "handbook of literary terms" if you want, along with the name of the opposite term (part for whole vs. whole for part). I had to study these terms when I was participating in the UIL Literary Criticism contest in high school (is...

I'd only heard "Red at night, sailor's delight, red at morning, sailors take warning" ... meaning that a redder dawn is an indication of a coming storm, and a redder sunset is an indication of clear skies and good weather for the next day. I don't know how correct it is, meteorogically, bu...

Cultural shock between Scotland and US?

So, I know that more of you are NOT from the US than are from the US, and that several of you are from the UK, and I think there's two or three of you from Scotland. Anyway, I quit my old job and in a week and a half I'm going to start work as a nanny. I'll be taking care of a little girl who just m...

I always thought of her as a small female version of the Fair Folk ... some kind of dwarf/gnome/what-have-you. I thought she was full-grown, just small. Now I think she's either a gnome or a halfling or something ... but she's really adorable, yes.

I still haven't beaten, um, either Samorost (I can't get off the screen with the hookah and the harvesters. I suck) or gotten very far in Hapland either.

By the way, I'm absolutely terrible at puzzles. TERRIBLE at puzzles. It's laughable how bad I am at puzzles.

Dungeon Master has destroyed my mind or something

So, I'm at dance class this morning, and the teacher tells us to split into groups of four to work on mini-routines so we can learn our new moves better. Then we are to perform our mini-routine in front of the rest of the class. I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this. Do you know what a bloc...

Do you all talk regularly to yourselves, to pets, or to inanimate objects? It's a bad habit of mine. I tend not to do it as much when other people are around, though.
