Armour = Power/Kevlar/Combat//Metal/Flak armour (Ideas from System Shock 2 / Jagged Alliance) Necklaces = Impants I think I'll turn one of the wands into a med-kit Food = Food (that stays). Lockpicks... I think that will stay too (Although changing the graphics) I already changed scrolls into Mini d...

1. Good! Then there will be Hired Guns guns instead of ones shooting out lightining!

2. DOH! Question was... what's the best way to reload the gun? "Reload" command or auto-reload at the end of the charges?

3. Admit it... it's because of the syringes... ;)

A trace of old design. They were coded in the beta version of DM it seems and later removed/left out.

GG ported them to be compitable with the old DM dungeons that could use them.

More likely, you select 4 evil champions and take on a quest to defeat the icky good!

Somone needs to develop a dungeon in which Evil creatures (TM) will try to storm good creatures' castle/keep/dungeon and kill the king/prince/mage/knight/princess/elves/fairies...

That would be a good challange for a dragon

Game optimising is an Art I've learnt through my programming carrer... cause back when I started in the books it was written - ALWAYS optimize your code. So I've got it in my blood. I think SDL could handle what is being said in the article... but instead of D3D, OpenGL will be used. OpenGL and SDL ...

Okay... I finished designing the script language today... the script language will resemble BASIC since it's kind of easy enough to learn. The script language will have 8 global registers, 8 global counters and 8 script-accessed timers. The very first script language version will have 64 limitations...

Best to ask people on Atari ST emulation sites about this.

Well thanks. I'll consider doing that when I get to the graphical engine bit (may be very soo).

I might do the JPEG support for the project... I still haven't decided on the graphics.dat format.

Network play isn't in the plans but may be implemented later as a side project.

Yes. I was thinking of PNG/TGA support from the start. Mostly due to the alpha channels. That would also eliminate the need for transparency bytes. I'm intrested in reading that article... anywhere I can find it? And I won't be using DX. I think SDL will do better, since I want it to be multi-platfo...
