Glad to hear that. I have to recover some sanity after playing Conflux II but I won't forget about it ;o) For the hit testing maybe we should create/make a list along the lines: Armour value used (unified protection): aaa Monster having fun with the character: bbb Total attacks by creature: ccc Hits...

At the moment it seems that the blocking abilities are not shown in CSBuild - only the visibility has its equivalent (either the cross through the tile is bold if visble=yes, otherwise it is not). I could not see any green colours in that file (download of dungeon.dat from 2004-01-13 00:33). Here's ...

Sone. This was only a very short log - getting in, some mouse movements and then out again. If you need me to perform specific actions, let me know. All the settings were the same as for the last tests.

Hmm. Yes to find out what parts are attacked is hard - so we would need a standardized test version to check, otherwise the results would be useless since we could never know for sure what was attacked. Or can that be built in a version (like the CSBwin 3.0++ version being able to display XP points ...

Hi andyboy, just to nonplus you - I tested v0.7 on my computer at home (~600 MB, 128 MB RAM, S3 Savage Graphic card), the milliseconds were 15-17 (object vault closed) and 21-23 (ov open). Reason escapes me... maybe there is a problem with Matrox graphic cards?

There's an "Axe" hangover shower gel (or is it called "Lynx" over there - I never remember...) - ever tried that one? Not that I particularly noticed it working but it has this bright green colour that's making my head ache when I look at it ;o)

I think that out of 1000 people approximately a tenth will actually download the file. Over the course of a week that should be fine. I thought about the option before proposing it, should there still be any problems I may have to redraw the file but that should be about all.

Maybe we could share the work - one person doing hit evaluations with say ten different kinds of armour and ten different creatures - hundred hits from each. That should be a good base for a statistic. Otherwise you can test a very long time on your own if you want to do it all. I'd also suggest tak...

I can temporarily provide a location for an image on an ftp-server for say, a week. That means once a picture is available I can offer you to keep the download up for 7 days. Sorry I cannot offer you more, but that's about the maximum time I can argue it.

Hi Denise and a warm welcome to the forums, you sure a a veteran of the game, hope to see you around some more! http://dmweb.free.fr/DMCreatures.htm Knights don't seem to be very much susceptible to poison - getting them under doors and simultaneously attacking them seems the best idea. If you are in an open area avoid direct combat and try the "hit and run" technique. Scorpions are quick - but Ful...

I sure hope it will be. I still like the graphics a lot and if you keep up the detail level to be found in the bestiary (as far as it's available) it will be a real treasure store of information. Yeah, pun intended.
