Came across them by chance as well a while ago. I expecially like the "Inferno" one, don't know what Dante would have thought but it's amazing how "deep" that one looks...

That's what I meant - but wasn't there some way to sneak around that in CSBwin? Like healing an invincible monster (however that is done) and by that action make it killable? *triestocollectmemory*

Certainly. Got a little confused after "reading up" the missed posts from last week and thinking about all the new/dug out suggestions for RTC.

Let's not overdo it. I think it should be settled and used so that people can get accustomed to the name, whatever it's gonna be... Not everything has to be customizable, even if the suggestions for RTC are pretty creative these days...

No problem with how the records are managed. It's not about speed but craft - and that includes using all the options you can think of, including the game speed. (Answer to a post by Zyx some way up, so don't get confused  )

It's simply an annoyance, not complicated. Normally one has to register nearly everywhere these days even if you won't come back to the site more than once. So the point was to put your work at the main place that is known by most of the people visiting regularly - the encyclopedia upload forum. Hop...

Hmm. I did not express myself clearly then, know about the cloning method in RTC, of course. So no "clones" in the sense of the word used for CSBwin/DM classic exist in RTC, therefore no harm can be caused that way if I understand correctly. Question answered, thanks.

Could spelleffects also be changed that way? I.e. instead of a fireball producing harm mutating the effect depending on the existence of a local/global DSA so that it heals monsters on a certain level?

Don't we have the "unlimited health" option for monsters now? THey are still able to be killed, huh? What did I miss there...?

Sounds like a great idea... you might create a puzzle having an invincible monster chasing you until you still its life force trapped in some coin or gem somewhere else in the level which then makes it killable...

Based on the assumption that you still need the txt file for editing anything (or has that been changed already?) I'd support the notion. If everything becomes customizable why not the characters stats and dungeon difficulty as well. It's simply one play option, like the spell book.

Does some kind of general agreement exist these days about the usage of clones? Paul Stevens made huge efforts to get rid of them via CSBuild, but they seem to be very popular still. Are they necessary to create certain solutions/puzzles or simply more comfortable in the end?

Is there some kind of probability for the vorpal blade to not make it work? (Meaning besides the usual hit probability of course) Apart from that, I also think all attacks should -at least potentially- be able to hit ethereal beings.

Hmm. I'd suggest a look at Gambit's DM Codex... I found the stats toy pretty helpful in that respect; you can very easily have a look at highest and lowest stats for different skills and sort them as you like. http://www.dmcodex.com/ It is to be found in the section Games | Dungeon Master | Characte...

Better concentrate on more important issues than the maximum health until a situation arises that contains a good reason why it should be done. So far if I'm reading the posts correctly it's only about being able to do it in general and having potential for bigger dungeons that will not be possible ...

I see the point, thanks both of you for the quick answers. So that means until you look at the item (weapon) or use it onto the spell book, you won't be able to use the rune, right? Is that ability restricted to weapons or can any old item be used for it?
