Re: Creating an oldschool game with new engine

Errr... if you read my posts carefully, zoom, you'll see that I aim for oldschool gameplay.

[...] Grid based map with 90 degrees rotation and fixed step (midsteps like in DM2 or Lands of Lore as optional feature, personally I think they're nice).

I think it is obvious that this implies that I ...

Re: Creating an oldschool game with new engine

Some news:

Project deadline was last Monday and me and my friend scored the best notes possible and an applause so I think the engine is worth something. I'm thinking about uploading the original game with source code to SourceForge. I have to get rid of the propertiary content first, though ...

Re: Creating an oldschool game with new engine

Hi, I remember both those dungeons. I seem to recall the diablo one being quite basic (deliberately hack and slash) but that beastmaster was fun.
Not to mention I didn't have a blank dungeon template for Beastmaster and I eventually grew tired of removing original Dungeon Master content so for ...

The dungeon uses the elements of DM2 that I like: DM2 textures and mixed themes, music, Vorax axe (hehe) and some of the few better looking DM2 monsters (rhinos, skeletons, monks). Some fights can be hard, especially when you decide to rest ...

Yeah, this rumor been here since pilot episode. Being great Terminator nerd I'm checking forums for T:SCC several times per day and I could split people there to 3 groups:
1) people who watch and love it/think it's fine
2) people who watch it, then go ...

Sophia, I downloaded and installed Space Hulk- SP. There`s only 18 missions and they`re very small!! Can I download some additional, fan-made missions from somewhere?

Dude, you've beaten Space Hulk? I thought this game was impossible.
Anyway I've tried it on Amiga but got tired of all this floppy ...

I've just beaten this dungeon. Pretty awesome work.
Unfortunatelly I couldn't find anything to activate the man-hole so I used this glitch mentioned before to grab the wand.
