I have come to the conclusion that the pit level cannot be completed without the grapple. Please can someone help me with a strategy and locations?

really, I am having a hard time finding how to get to the grapple. I cant even find it anymore. What could be huger and harder than Tower? .. Don't answer that!

I finally got through the stairs maze and am immediately stuck on the gem level. I am fixated on the yellow pad. I am trying to figure out the significance of the scroll and the items in the alcove.

I am still stuck. Do I have to go all the way back to the starting spot, or the starting time of the entire level?

I do not see any red crosses. I am stopped at the stairs leading to the crosses. There are unmovable walls at the stair wells. Help!! This is a job for ADAMSKI !!!!!!! Welcome back!!, any suggestions??

On the stair level there are a couple stairwells that remain unpassable. One of them is

past an illusory wall that reveals a sign that says something like "small hint left illusory wall" The secret map device shows the stairway.

Any hints would be greatly appreciated.

I need a hint with the mirror rooms. The table with the 2 coins. when I insert the silver coin in the last room nothing happens? The map of the last rooms with the pits etc is a mirror image of what I really see. whats the deal? I am dead ended at the corridor with the coin slot for the silver coin.

I have tried lining up the men in the chess game . nothing happens no matter which orientation I use. The map has the letters m,o,k. are these letters meaningful .
