That part foiled me for quite a while as well. Really kind of a clever solution when solved. I tried facing the fireballs like a man with a fireshield spell but I died just the same.

Yes, I accidently solved it. Seemed that the switch near the pit opened up a secret area that lead to another switch. I made the mistake of assuming that the switch near the pit only deposited a silver coing in the nearby alcove. Thanks!

Good dungeon, BTW. I'm still plodding along.

I'm on the 3rd level just past the black flames. There's a dust to dust riddle (I got this one) and just past the door you chop through you get to kill a coutil. There are 2 invisible pits just ...

I guess I've lurked around long enough. DM (and CSB) have been my favorite games since I got them for my Atari St way back in 1988. IMO, DM is the best computer game ever.

Next I want to thank all the contributors who are keeping this game alive. The new dungeons are great and a real treat ...
