Wow! Just... wow! I've been wondering for a while if making a DM port to a portable console would require making new graphics, matching current standards. First I had decided to go for the original looks, because nostalgia factor seemed important to me. But those screens are just gorgeous, and I beg...

Those first tries are really top quality! I love the knight and the "big-head" girl (and I am SURE I already saw her somewhere, but I can't remember!)

Huho... you're right, I was using CSBuild...

Ok so I got now the ASCII dump from CSBWin, I'll study it! Thanks!

Sorry if it was unclear. I thought I had given details above, but no problem, I can quote myself again: ;) I tried the lastest version (build293) and spent a bit of time trying to figure everything out. [...] In fact, the only data I couldn't figure out yet is some actuator formatting, for example w...

Oh by the way, I take my words back, SCK exports doors correctly and links them to their respective tiles. My bad.

So only creatures possessions are missing, from what I have seen so far.

Ok, thanks for the clarification ;)

But just to be sure I understand your point of view, when I say "the <PushButton> actuators seem to be empty", do you consider it as an error report (i.e. something you'd like to fix yourself) or as a feature request we'd have to do on our own? :)

Hmm, OK, I was not aware that this feature was not up-to-date. From what I had seen in the output, the basic elements seemed to be there. Or at least I thought that original DM elements might be included, even if more advanced CSBwin stuff like alternate monsters graphics were not handled. Of course...

That's great, thanks guys! I was not aware of the "Ascii Dump" option of CSBuild. I tried the lastest version (build293) and spent a bit of time trying to figure everything out. The output is very interesting! I may make a VB program which takes this dump and puts it into an Access databas...

Tool for exporting dungeon.dat

Hi, Recently I've contacted Greatstone (SCK's author) to know if he was interested in improving the SCK and add extra information into the generated XML file. Basically right now, the XML output lacks some linked objects lists, including doors details on each tile or monsters possessions. Even if he...

Thanks! ;) You can still try with an emulator (the second book should work on them, but the load/save feature would be disabled). You would still have to turn your screen (or your head) 90° to read, which should not be very pleasant! ^^

Linking doors to their tiles

Hi, I'm currently planning on making a new DM clone on portable consoles, and I'm still studying how the DM data are organized. By looking at the DM encyclopedia, I see that there is a separate list of doors, with several properties (like for example the "bashable" or the "destroyable...

Mazes of Fate

Hi, I didn't see it mentioned already, but there was a very cool DM-like game called "Mazes of Fate", running on GBA. It was a mix between dungeon crawling and quests, using a nice interface. You can have a look at it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tu1-yMep9CI Worth a try for DM fans...

Extracting Monsters Possessions Using SCK

Hi all :) It's my first post here but I've been lurking for a while. Great community by the way ;) I have a question about the nice SCK tool which allows to extract the DM data into readable XML. I've studied the file format, and it seems it's missing at least one information: creatures possessions....
