Thank you for a very thorough and detailed reply to my modest.
enquiry.
I am also flattered that you think that anyone who describes themselves as "not-very-techie" (i.e. me) could possibly "modify CSBwin to use DirectX etc".
If I ever manage to do this work I will be sure to let you include it in ...

CSB-WIN Basics
Thank you for your reply.
Yes, it must have been the Amiga version I played (never had an Atari).
I don't recall getting very far in the Amiga version either!
Please humour a "not-very-techie" but why does CSB not run in full screen?
Regards.

CSB-Win basics
Just downloaded the above and it appears to work pretty well
on Vista (I am having my backside repeatedly ripped open by pink worms at the very start) but:
1) Does it play in full screen?
2) Does it have any sound?
I'm probably asking the bleeding obvious but any advice would be much appreciated.

Finally got DM2 to work thanks to the help and guidance of another forum member.
The original floppies had evidently gone to floppy heaven and although they appeared to install correctly, half the files were missing - shame!
So after a download, use of DosBox and a fantastic amount of help over the ...

Get DM2 to work
Thanks for the replies.
Seth, as I explained in the original posting, I've tried DosBox etc.
Gambit37, I did look through the sticky posts before I posted the thread but I'll take another look.
The bit that is totally flooring me is the "IBMIOP......".
Thanks again.

Get DM2 to work
I've got the original DM2 (on 9 floppies) and just recently decided to try to install and play it again on a PC running Vista.
Having successfully downloaded the original DM off "Abandonia" and got it working perfectly with "D-Fend Reloaded" I thought doing the same thing with my own copy of DM2 ...
