The thread was locked although the game is still (or again) on the app store.

There is even a free version now that pops up a full screen ad every 5 seconds (no, not LIKE every 5 seconds) and I accidentally clicked one and so made money for the developer who stole all the assets.

This look amazing and being a iPhone/iPad owner am looking forward to more news on this
First new news: Level Editor (iPad only) is been made with the end user in mind, so it will be available on release day or short after.

Andreas Larsson, founder of the eob.wikispaced.org site developed a game engine for iPhone that right now can play mostly the full "Eye of the Beholder". He is starting on a level editor now, so we can build our own game.

I will support the project by building hires dungeon and item graphics ...

Thanks for the answers...I wasnt really looking into porting the game as I dont have the skills. I hoped it would easily work with the java options on iPhone just with some added directional buttons.

I tried to run DMJ on iPhone, but with little success, maybe some of you can help me.

The JamVM engine as well as the alcheMo (which converts Java to C) both dont work with the AWT Toolkit. Would it be feasible to replace those calls with other calls available on iPhone.

To make it playable ...

Is this an option? Or is the source code available for someone else to do it?
