Level 11
I've thrown away heavy stuff to be under the limit of weight and fully benefit from the boots of speed. What to say? It wasn't hard. The ethereal vines didn't need much vorpal disruptions. Spiders were a lot less impressive than what I used to remember. Maybe ...

Re: DM solo run with a reincarnated Wu Tse
As it's the first time I'm trying to solo DM, I'm still not totally confident with what to keep and what to toss. I often find myself in the yellow zone for weight, so I regularly let some chest in the central stairway. Currently I'm under the limit of overweight and with boots of speed, but I use ...

Re: DM solo run with a reincarnated Wu Tse
I went back to take the Gem of Ages and lost myself a bit, so I found the Mithril Akaton too.
Level 8
The first encounter with those small magicians was a bit rough. The second it appeared in front of me I received a strong fireball of welcome. It took me more than half of my HP so I ...

Re: Is the Amiga version of DM considered to be the best?
I think the biggest difference between Amiga and PC back then was the sound. Atari and Amiga had a better sound chipset than PCs. And as Amiga had stereo for DM, it's soundly superior.

Re: Memorable Moments...
Thank you all!
As I don't want to restart this precise solo run, I won't have CSBwin recording, but I will write about the experience in this thread.
Also I read that CSBwin rules aren't exactly the same as good ol' DM. Is that true? What are the differences?

DM solo run with a reincarnated Wu Tse
Greetings,
As mentioned in another thread , I started a DM game with only one character. I started it with PC version, so I can't give you any CSBwin recording of it. Still as some people here like stories and anecdotes, I'll write a bit about it and its progress. Yes progress, because I'm not one ...

Re: Best Four Champions...
A "right-hand rule" would bring you to Elija first. Anyway, most people tend to prefer the "left-hand rule" - i.e., most people tend to turn left if they don't know where to go on a crossroad, and look to the left first when looking around (I mean in average ).
If I remember correctly, this has ...

Re: Memorable Moments...
Hello,
My first memories of DM come from behind the back of my father on STe, following him as he was running through the corridors of "have no idea how spells work" and fighting everything by throwing miscellaneous items of various size. Of course I remember the first jump when the first mummy ...
