I would recommend to use Mozilla HTML Editor for writing HTML. It is stable, doesn't require HTML knowledge and it produces valid HTML code (I wrote several docs with it and W3C validator didn't find any error), what I shouldn't say for Frontpage or Word.

As you can see, everything is OK now. You can trust me that I am not using that password I entered above, it was just to demonstrate the problem. Thank you very much for your perfect and fast help.

I'am afraid this is not I am talking about. I got no page scrolls when submiting, I really obtain a new page. Tried in Mozilla 1.3 (my default browser) and even with MS Crap 6.0 (which I keep only for internet banking purposes). Try it yourself: URL is http://www.cgfiles.com/cowsmanaut/forum/profile...

Extremely unfriendly forum :-(

I am sorry to say that but this forum is one of the user-unfriendliest I have ever seen. I remember I registered here some time ago, but (as usual) I forgot my username and e-mail address. I clicked "Forgot password" link and on the next page I had to enter both username and e-mail. Since ...

Re: effect of stats

FTL will not help us - I tried to contact one person (unfortunatelly I don't remember his name) with request to help us reveal some internal stuff and he replied (arrogant, from my point of view) that we should be doing something better than stealing graphics and sound from copyrighted game and that...

Chieffy, please be so kind a don't bring your political opinions here. I personally hope US&UK aggressors will retreat soon and Blair with Bush will be prosectured as international criminals, but I don't need to write it on every place I visit somewhere. This is about RTC.

Re: ameena1

What's the problem with magic system when you use "Dungeon Master-Original" in CSB? AFAIK DM-RTC and DM-Original modules in RTC differ only in the fact that DM-RTC requires magic book and the DM-Original does not.

Re: Differences in DM

About monster killed when falled down the pit - original DM/CSB had a limitation of number of monster species per level. It was IMHO because limited color palette (16 colors) and different levels used different palettes. So if moster appeared on the level it wasn't allowed to appear, it was imediate...

Re: spam (cursed)

I am so lucky that I have my own mailserver. I installed MessageWall software and this week I received no spam offering viagra, porn, big penis or breats, loan, credit card etc. One week before I got about 3 spams per day.
I am sorry not everyone has this opportunity.

Re: wands

I disagree with the last paragraph. Spell casting is not party action, it is a member action. I don't know if it was already fixed, because in RTC spellcaster always turned to the front. IMHO spellcaster should cast spell in that direction in which he is currently facing. But the Climb Down is party...

Re: Can't remember

AFAIR this was a "cheat" published in one magazines many days ago. This "cheat" was a fake - it never worked. AFAIR the the steps to reproduce was to find a dragon, cast a spell using the highest rune, then do something with The Firestaff (I don't remeber what exactly) ...

Re: First RTC dungeon over at the Encyclopaedia

This dungeon is very interesting. I've got the problem that it became unplayable. Maybe this post will better fit to the BUGS forum, but I will post it here because it is related to this dungeon. The RTC is tooooo slow. When I start RTC, it will start very quickly. I select "Reactor" modul...

Re: no worries

It seems this person is a bit dumb, because Info section refers to the Dungeon Master II (selling items, minions etc.) I think it's not worth to care about that primitive person.

Re: Berzerk recovery time too fast?

I agree to both your comments. I looked at the CSB for Win ASCII dump (very useful because it contains internal value tables for monsters/items) and I found that berzerk delay is little bit more than twice delay for melee and base damage is slightly below twice than melee. Looking at and using value...

Yes, I mean this door. Neither Chop nor Fireball worked for me in RTC 0.21, maybe my character's strength (about 70) is to small?

Re: Spells too effective?

Yes, in RTC Cleave harms non-material beeings too and I didn't use the first action (Jab?), but I think it will harm them too. Because in RTC-CSB I reincarnated my party, they wasn't able to use Disrupt option because of small wizard level so I used Cleave. Try it - its definitely faster than disrup...

Spells too effective?

This bug is maybe not a bug, because it is based on my feeling only (no exact numbers). I think either fireballs and des-ew spells are to effective (assuming monsters in CSB-RTC are given the same health value as in original CSB) or monsters in original CSB have bigger spells resistance. I can finis...

Berzerk recovery time too fast?

It seems that berzerk recovery time is equal to melee recovery time. AFAIR in CSB was berzerk recovery time much longer than melee recovery time.

Spellcasters range is too big

I found that monster's AI is bad compared to DM: In DM/CSB, (I think some) monsters has sence (I don't know, mabye it is a bigger intelligence, maybe it is an olftaction) , which allows to track party even if party is not in sight. I could add an example when I was playing CSB on my Amiga: In room w...

Bad monster position

In RTC CSB .21 I found bad monster positioning. Oiutus and Water Elementals should be defined as one-monster-per-tile creatures. It seems RTC tries to put 2 (maybe 4?) oituses or water elementals on the single tile, see my screenshots: <a href="http://birdie.porcus.cz/rtc/oitu.jpg">birdie....

Could not get into area

I wasn't able to get into the ROS area at (21,18,7). I always can get to that area from the other side (from the stairs (28,16,8)), but not from the Junction of Ways.
BTW due to (double posted) bug with unchoppable door at (29,9,7) I could not get far more into that area right now.

Unopenable door

I wasn't able to open doors at (29,12,4). AFAIR in CSB doors opened after taking gem at (35,18,4), in RTC doors remained closed and I don't know how to open it.

Unusable lever

I am referring to DMute coordinates as usual.
Lever at (18,15,4) causes that fireball is fired from (23,16,4).
In CSB I lured scorpion to follow me and then I swichted this lever several times to fire several fireballs. This was not possible in RTC.

Bad sounds

In DM/CSB sounds could be heard from more distance than in RTC. For example when staying at (12,24,2) throwing "Open doors" spell at (12,29,2) spell explosion (and doors opening sound) could be heard in CSB but could not in RTC. I found many other places where this could cause problems (if...
