Respawning Oitu room. The item in the alcove is not a must item. You can buy one at the Colosseum level.
The two pads nearby is a must puzzle. One pad opens a door the other one closes it. Not a speed puzzle. Opening/Closing is immediat. Use logic.

I agree on all you said. Let me add some comments. I think a dungeon should be completed by more than 90% of players that are DM and CSB able, without any hint . Sure it feels good to give hints, but that is not the aim of games. Alternative ways is good, but not too many. Some prefer linear scenari...

Thanks for the reminders about CSB. I recently had a go at RTC CSB. Indeed I tried the two ways ( run & jump / porticullis ). I got stuck just later, trying to get a flask, messing with keys a haze and a "supplies for the fast" to end up empty handed at the four way choice. I found my ...

Jan, you did very well in the speed puzzles.
IMHO the game is too tough on those. Most players gave up because of this.

I agree from a theoretical point of view. However, I only find work arounds with RTC. I did not beleive a counter was a way to go. Amazingly it works nicely. I am impressed, Sonja killed a 1000 Health Golem bare handed.
In a stair fight I guess, and she was not clubbed neither starved to death.
I tried killing the golem, cheating with an imported powerfull team, the golem did not fall.

As you can see, a trapped adventurer died in that room.

To Ouch I am stuck at the dragon door. I have solved 7 riddles out of the 8. I have a firestaff without power gem. I have opened, mapped, visited everything in the entire dungeon. I see what is controlled by the "control room". Should I park ants on all of the 63 pads ? This will take ages...

Zooms do not stop.
It is worth pushing the tiny switch. The main thing is to shove the key in the lock.

I remember in DM there is an alcove that open a door with a corbamite. It looks the same as a ZoKatra wich does not work in the alcove. The corbamite does work...
