I would have imagined that the spell-casting monsters' coding would be a fundamental part of the game engine itself and therefore unrelated to data from a save game. Fixing the way the program computes how creatures behave should have an effect all the time as it is the core code which does this ...

Bad news George, I've just walked into a room of beholders who obviously didn't take their valium. In a fit of depression they nuked themselves to oblivion and - yep, you guessed it - v0.15 crashed right out. Oh, the humanity!
