CSB Amiga has the magic map if it is what you refer to as a mini map.
Maybe there is a custom version of DM having the magic map.

Thanks for the update, that's neat! I can play my linux version both on debian and WSL with audio.
I get some "direct leak" from libasan when exiting though.
For mingw32 I do get the config from pkg-config for sdl2. I will look into that later.

Re: Amiga Kid Dungeon
I've just found from this thread that there were 2 versions of the Kid Dungeon
.
It is a bit more complex than the first one. It's Kid dungeon v2.
Apparently the dungeonB.dat is a compressed format; do someone have the proper uncompressed version of it ?

Just a short explanation about the messages. You get them for 2 reasons:
- CSBuild assumes first Atari ST savegame while you were playing on PC-DOS, then CSBuild complains and converts it to Atari format (little-endian).
- The illegal objects may come from duplicate objects, that should not exist ...

Hi WISPP. Good to ask.
First answer, you can find the latest package here SKWin Package . October 2024 version.
I have removed some old exe. Now the main exe is "skwin9821.exe". "SKULLV4.EXE" is the same but compiled for DOS (i.e. DOSBox / FreeDOS).

SKWIN: Dungeon Master II for Windows is a truthful port of Skullkeep.

Thanks ! So you are playing "Return to Skullkeep" mod by THEO for RTC ! You would have said that in your first post  That's absolutely not DM2.

Re: How are the different spell symbols located and installed?
You're correct about the Ra key, to open the gate out of the Sun Clan village.
I did not play DM2 RTC a lot, but spells don't seem different than retail DM2 for me. I did not tested them all though. I still don't get what you'd find different for spells/runes.

Re: How are the different spell symbols located and installed?
For RTC DM1, yes you have the spellbook rule and you need to activate symbols/runes from scrolls.
I don't see it the case for RTC DM2. Are you talking about DM1 or DM2 and RTC or not ?

Thanks for ideas. Using pits would be more natural than stairs for this. I think it should be 3-steps.

2: the fall animation over maybe a second pit (just surrounded by walls) under the first pit, but with delayed opening, allowing the animation sequence to ...

DM2 - Riverfall design
Hi, I would have your thought about the Riverfall design found in DM2 Beta, and how to improve it.
First, here is what it looks like : somewhere in the undergrounds you found a "pit" with flowing water. When you go into that pit, you slide down it for a few seconds (there is an animated sequence ...

Thanks Sophia! That actually worked. That's interesting, so the open file window can only filter "txt" to load, but you go through the recent file list to open anything. Good.

Gambit might be misremembering or there might be a second valid method. The way that worked for me was:

 Delete SomeDungeon.txt, rename File.rtc to SomeDungeon.txt and put it ...
