Re: Questions about DSB/ESB
@Ebeneezergude : Isn't that the job of the "moneybox"? You can store craploads of coins/gems in the thing, and it keeps on storing more :P Which is basically what Sophia said: making the "stack" a container and doing various tricks... Oh, sorry, didn't see the "moneybox&quo...

Re: Questions about DSB/ESB
There are some pretty hackish ways of doing it (generally involving making the "stack" a container and doing various trickery involving that) but no actual "item stacks." Is there a way to "stack" or count money? If you collect gold pieces for example say, can they inc...

Re: Deco / wall objects with a SIDE0 bitmap?
Sounds complicated....! Think I would prefer to keep it simple.... but perversely I like the contortionist logic of it... Wherever you step creates the adjacent bit of dungeon.... hey, there's a design concept right there for a surrrealist dungeon experience..!

Deco / wall objects with a SIDE0 bitmap?
can DSB make a wall object / decoration object that can be made to be visible on the tile the party stands on? For example, if it were a very wide alcove object? In the original DM, a wall decoration object generally appears to have a FRONT view and a SIDE view. In the SIDE view, this is the bitmap ...

Thanks. I should caveat by saying "producing" means "am still producing it", rather that "it has been produced".... it ain't finished yet, it's being worked on, good n' proper...! (how many dungeons here are "projects under construction" I wonder...?)

Yes, 50hz for PAL and 60hz for NTSC. Actually yeah I remember now, us and uk resolutions and refresh rates. The word 'modulator' springs to mind! :) The hand thing is also true, and was already mentioned above. :) Sorry, totally didn't see that mentioned above. (Unless its the full colour hand comm...

Re: New Mechanics for DSB
Can monsters be made to reflect upon their actions to create a richer and more diverse moral landscape within the dungeon? This would be more realistic, maybe with moral landscape tiles in ESB.

Is the 50hz / 60hz thing related to PAL/NTSC? The ST version also showed the cyan outline icon of an object when picked up, if I recall correctly, whereas Amiga showed full colour.

Do you have one of those little white bandages with the blood stain on? Come to think of it, where in the dungeon do they get those bandages anyway....?

Magica, that's a bit harsh. They are both brilliant achievements and we as DM fans should consider ourselves extremely lucky that DSB and RTC exist and allow us to do all the things they do. Sophia and George have my thanks and admiration.

one sided wallset
Is it possible in RTC to have a wallset that only affects one face of a wall tile? Ie like DSB does, where you can specify all of the tile, or, individually on one of the four faces of the tile? In RTC I can only make a wallset fill an entire wall tile, which means the wallset graphic can appear in ...

Hi Sophia, thanks for your response. What would be very useful is a simple example of the code implementation, explaining how the viewangle property works within the archetype. Am not quite sure I fully understand where it goes and how it's configured. Many thanks.

Directional Bitmaps
Can DSB display bitmaps for objects dependent on view direction? For example, like the DM2 CROSS_1 object (it's called FLOORITEM_CROSS_1 in RTC). Ie, If a bitmap is seen whilst the party faces north: FLOOR_DECOR_FRONT0_N FLOOR_DECOR_FRONT1_N FLOOR_DECOR_FRONT2_N FLOOR_DECOR_FRONT3_N If a bitmap is s...

Re: Icons for new archetypes in ESB
Hi Sophia, could you provide a simple example of how this might work? Could you explain how the the c...

Thanks guys, and thanks to Gambit - that picture literally tells a thousands words, as they. Your post was very useufl indeed.
