DMute is designed, i believe, to convert the dungeon.dat file to a .rtc file only (for the moment). The dmsave.dat has alot of 'junk' information about the party and events - so you might find that this is interfering with the convertion...i could be wrong and George has build in an ignore function...

Re: DMute V1.4?
Would anyone be interested in a minor update to DMute whereby it exported a dungeon into something close to an RTC format? I say "something close" as there would need to be a manual step to get the triggers and stuff working, but I could easily knock something up to export the headers, du...

Bochs
Wow! Have a look here http://www.dungeon-master.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21006 This is indeed complicated stuff for my tired brain to grasp at the moment. (After all, I just figured out how to place a mirror w/champion successfully in my latest dungeon!! LOL.) Thanks for the link. I've saved the in...

Bochs...
Being a newbie, I probably shouldn't try stuff that is over my head. However, the idea really intrigued me so I had to go look at it. Andy, how does one configure Bochs to play DM or DM2? I can see all the options, but haven't a clue how to make the necessary changes. If this post would be better se...

DMute and placing objects etc
I tried to look at DMute, but I'm finding it easier to just use the code. Though, I do like to see what the dungeon looks like on DMute. I've been playing around with the existing txt files and I think I have a handle on how to place things now. One other thing I can't seem to figure out is whether ...

Nice Tutorial...
The only thing that I still don't see (and this is because I'm no good at visualizing 3-D rooms in code or on a graph) is how to place things on the dungeon squares. For example, I used the example files and modified them to add things to the "Orange" room. Only I can't see how to place an...

A Big Thank You!
You've done a great job, George! Thanks for making DM playable in Windows. We used to play when my son was about 3 (he'd hack the screamers for us and throw them to earn ninja points). Now he can play it on his own anew. :) I'm just beginning to read your instructions for making new dungeons and lea...
