I grouped them in the same archive. See there : http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=49830 Old download link I gave here is bro...

Re: nightmare dungeon needs testing
You can search for an unlzx program. There is also an lzx plugin for Total Commander.
Or you can decrunch it from within the emulation with the regular Amiga lzx program.

Re: nightmare dungeon needs testing
Monsters aren't sacks of hit points ; they have the standard of their species. However, they may be a little bit too numerous... Champions have their original DM1 values and inventories, so they're probably unable to fight these lots of monsters until trained and equipped. The tactics here are to co...

[ This dungeon is part of Meynaf's 'Dungeon Master Custom Dungeons' at http://meynaf.free.fr/pr/index_en.html ] Hi all, Just for all of you hardcore dungeoneers, I have made a nasty custom dungeon. Yet unfinished, but a good challenge for even the best players. Download this dungeon from this Shared...

gfx item 0558
Hi all, I've read this doc and discovered that my extracted "item558" file does not exactly match. For me, byte 265 isn't at byte 265, but at byte 264. But I lated found that you are counting from 1 instead of from 0. (and re-edited my own post here :) Shouldn't you start at byte 0 instead...

Re: Some thoughts after a long absence
I personnally used Hissssa a lot, along with Leif. He is good in long-term games, but not for races. But, whatever DM1 team I tested, I think I'll always prefer my reincarnated CSB team. They had minimums of 800 health, 999 stamina (maximum allowed by the game), 300 mana. So 400/300 health seems a l...

ya ew
Hi all, In the beginning of the game, where you find the glops, there is a little shell. It can be reproduced with a "ya ew" spell. But... what use can it be of ? (apart making loads of trash items) Not consumable... doesn't give a characteristic bonus... nearly useless as a weapon... If s...

wolves and gold coins...
Hi all, In the wolves area, I see some pits, and there are gold coins behind them. Okay, I don't miss money, but I never found a way to get those. Is this possible, and how ? I tried all sorts of minions, not worked. Map minion can get to the place, but doesn't take anything. And the one which's sup...

Re: Halk Gonzo Barbarian
I played with halk after having put the 7F instead of 00 in the dungeon.dat file that I extracted from mini.dat When you enter, you have to go through a teleport which goes to level 10. Then you'll find the portrait. (btw for non-english people "gonzo" means weird, strange) And, yes, he ha...

Re: Quest for the Holy Scroll
You here seem to be badly needing a vexirk-to-english dictionnary ;) I came upon this scroll eons ago while playing csb on my old good ST. It seemed like vexirk writing to me. And, NO, it is *not* the map scroll, because if you look deep enough into a dungeon.dat, you'll find "MAGICMAP" as...

mystery passage
Go in the Way of the Wizard, at the level where you see fireballs bouncing on teleporters. There are slime devils here, and you can find a Vorpal Blade. Look through the walls with OH KATH RA, or look into the map : you will see a door behind a wall, to the north. It is clear that this wall should b...

RE: What happens at the end?
I have played both Atari and Amiga versions to the end. Chaos was NOT buggy on st, it was just copy-protected and bad cracked. I had a version that perfectly worked. The end scene did not contain any animation, you just see Grey Lord thanking you and it stops here. But the Amiga version has an end a...

RE: How ever do you...
You can't kill the old bastard. Just fluxcage around him with the firestaff and fuse him when he can't move any more.
I remember throwing him more fireballs than you can imagine, and I killed him several times, but he instantly resurrects.

I think DM2 is worth
It has some features DM1 didn't have, like moving objects such as tables (or you can even destroy them :), buy/sell things, outdoor exploration, more detailed moves for monsters, animations for objects (I love the flames leeching the fire shield). Of course monster reappearances suck, but both DM1 a...
