I think that the system used in EOB is perfect, while I dont like the magic system of DM :? I think its a matter of taste mostly.
As for the start of the game I think you are right, the first time I played I wanted to act like lawful good people should, hence I got stuck, so out of boredom I ...
So a lot of people who are unaware of the Atari/Amiga worlds have the notion that DM is nothing but a ripoff of EOB... when of course WE all know it's the other way around. Sigh...
I played EOB2 first, and I feel that it is a better game then DM. Had I played DM before EOB, it might have been ...
which version do you play on which computer? i had played on an amiga500, maybe an earlier version. Might be different versions out there... i can hardly believe the thing with the visible button.Although my memory could play tricks on me... I do think that there were different versions because the ...
I might add that I think there are invisible pressure plates in this area that you have to step on several times in order for the passage to open. I think that hitting the button activate these plates, but I cant confirm it since I havent experimented ...
Just take the level (14??, one of the three) where the soultaker is; there is on some wall a very tiny or invisible switch. The solution said it was invisible.Anyway it´s been a long while and i did not play it that intensely.

Also, it would be nice if more features were added (event squares, the possibility to change visibility of squares using spells and so on ...
Black Crypt was quite difficult, i played it with a solution (ever heard of an invisible button?)
sadly, it was too difficult .. imagine skeleton mace-hurling eliteguards-sth. like the dm-knights, that nearly kill your strongest fighter with one chop...The endboss was a real disappointment in ...
Several of these games use other images for some movement. Take Dran in dragonform in Eob2. He doesnt have a "move right" and "move left" pic, instead he has several frontal pics with his head in different positions. When the players sidesteps this creates the illusion that Dran also sidesteps ...
I was thinking seeing EOB and Black crypt in Dungeon Maker looked Pretty Cool So i just wanted some kind of list of DM type games which are playable under XP so I can have a go at ripping the graphics and trying it it Dungeon Maker
EOB 1 & 2 - Graphics can be riped from DM Java remakes
I wanted to see how the BC graphics would look in Dmaker (and they look good btw, much better then the EOB-graphics), so I put together a few rooms, a door and a monster. I am currently not working on remaking all the BC levels.
