Thanks SU, long time no see ;)

@Ameena: Yeah the cyclotaurs are really strong, as the maze is the hardest part of the dungeon to complete and also the player can prepare before entering it, I decided to make it hard :)
The DM does get hurt and eventually dies if keep being struck by enemies, just haven't added a health meter yet. If the player manages to fight of all the intruders she does generate her health, but it will not go fast..

Btw, have you seen this "Pyramid of Life" someone at the forum built :P

I thought it was pretty funny :)

Waking up this thread for the first time in several months to let people know that Dwelvers is now on Steam and Rasmus has given me a nice pile of keys to pass out to anyone who wants one. If you do, let me know in this thread and I'll PM it to you :). If this thread ends up proprly waking up again with people talking about the game, Rasmus has said he'll pop by and check it out :).

Cool! Looks great. I had lost track of this, I did not realise that release was so close.

Good to see that you can go into first person mode (presumably by possessing one of your minions) - I loved that feature in Dungeon Keeper.

Still, this game is going to have some very tough competition, what with the mobile version of Dungeon Keeper out there...will there be an option to speed up digging with micro-transactions?

I want one!

Well, if there's a mac version, anyway.
Otherwise, there's no point, but good luck to Rasmus anyway. :)

I'll see what Rasmus says about it and get back to you (unless he pops in here and does it himself) ;).

Yeah, I've had a quick scroll through some of the Steam reviews myself (well, not for a couple of days now) and it was all looking very positive :).
Incidentally, i've now given out the last of that batch of keys. If Rasmus gives me any more I'll drop a note here to say so.

Got some time to play. Initial thoughts - really good. I am learning the mechanics which may take a while, but I guess that is a good thing since it shows that the game has depth. I got the basics pretty quickly.

Looking forward to exploring more.

I have spent some more time with this game. Actually I spent a lot more time - I really got into it! I like the inter-connectivity of all the different aspects, and trying to perfect your dungeon is highly addictive. All the future work, if it comes about, will make this game really great. I would love to see a campaign, for instance.

I will review on Steam later.

I just Googled to see if there was any news on that and found the following quote from Rasmus on some Reddit page somewhere...

"It is the same answer as the linux port unfortunately, the game is developed in c++ and Direct3D, which make the game pretty hard to port. It is something I will consider in the future, but only if the response from the public is high enough :)"
