Dungeon Master Editor For The Mac

Post by LondonGuy76 »

I've recently downloaded the mac version of Dungeon Master. That is great, but I also want The Dungeon Mater Editor for the mac. Has this ever been made? I can only find pc or the original versions.

Is this CSBwin or the original DM? I am afraid the old editors are really only for PC, amiga and atari, and even though CSBwin has a mac version, I'm not sure CSBuild was similarly converted.

I think it must be CSBWin. The original game was never released on the Mac.

Do you mean you have an ORIGINAL version of the ORIGINAL Dungeon Master (as released by FTL) for the Mac? I thought that was impossible! Although FTL did have an internal version of the game ported ot the Mac, it was never released.

Could you clarify this please? Do you have some kind of leaked original? If you do indeed have an original, I'm intrigued! :-)

I think you'd need an emulator to play GS games, it's pretty different from a Mac.

No, not an original version for the mac from 1988, a clone I found on the Dungeon Master Encyclopedia website. There is a PC version as well, with editors for the PC, but no editors for the mac.

Right, you mean CSBWin then? Here:

That's the only version that was ported to the Mac. As far as I'm aware, the editor wasn't ported. Anybody else know any better?

I'm not sure either. If the CSBuild.exe file is not in the zip with the game, then the editor will not have been ported I'm afriad :( I will check when I get home if you find nothing else

CSBuild will not run natively on a macintosh
nor on Linux.

Both have ways of running Microsoft
Windows programs, however.

You can try using Parallel's or even Crossover Games to run any of the Dungeon Master clones/Remakes that's what I do.
