Hehehe I can see where you got the graphics from for the characters and their gear ;). I've played that game sooo many times :D.

That's a good news! I'm looking forward to playing it! And I'm really interested in the Rogue inspiration (random levels design? invisible phantoms? creatures camouflaged as chests?). But don't tell me now! :)
Finally playing and immensely enjoying the awesome Thimbleweed Park-a-reno!

I just started to play it and i'm definitely impressed by all the champions abilities you've added. in previous version, i chose champions i prefered visually (most of portraits are really unfriendly and ugly). but now, i just wonder which team is the best for an easy start...

Each team have some advantage and drawbacks, each characters should go trough it, some slower other faster (need to use different tactics)

BTW strange thing i found about throwing, before i thought that strenght allow to throw heavy obiects on longer distance, but it seem like dexterity is responslible for that. For example handy boulder, person with str 50 dex 80 throw it one square better than str 80 dex 50.

Zed: Please create a new post at the bottom of the thread when you update your dungeon. Do not edit your previous posts and expect us to notice you changed it -- we won't. The forum software does not tell people when a post is edited, so it is easy to miss when you make updates. Thank you.

Umm, Zed, so is this the final version or not? I'm not sure if I can start playing it now or wait for another update.

Yeah, what's going on with all the updates? Is it actually ready yet, or not?

If it's not ready yet and you're still making improvements, that's fine -- but in that case I think it would be better to ask people to beta test it for you, before you put it on the forums.

Um.... do you realise that people have very limited free time? Most of us do not have the time to keep re-starting new versions of your games.

By your own admission, no-one should bother playing 3.4 -- we should wait until 3.6? Thanks, that's helpful :-)

My understanding is that it's after 3.2 play the version you are playing, as all you are missing out on are some cool tweaks.

3.0 is upgrade to 2.1 its full playable, everything later bring even more quality.

Moderator note: Zed edited this post. It originally said:
Its like ask when ultimate computer will be build, answer is never (always is some possibility to upgrade) 3.0 is full playable, everything later bring more quality.

It's just that I'd like to play the same game as the others, you know. So if I get stuck or they get stuck we can share our experience and we can talk about the game and so on. I would also like to play a version that has no major bugs and dead-ends. Ravenhood is quite large and I don't feel like starting the game all over again when a new version is released.

But no problem, I was just asking. Basically, what I don't understand is how much the versions differ from each other, that's all.

That's because Zed expects you to download it and *then* read the updates file that's included!

Zed, why not put the changes between each version into your first post above, instead of keep deleting content? You don't really provide enough information on your games, or you confuse people when you edit your posts to delete content. It would be much better if you could keep all the version information intact in the first post, like Adamski has done with Tower of Champions.

Zed, please can you write the UPDATES.TXT into your first post. Some people are on limited broadband and cannot afford to keep downloading all your dungeon versions to find out what's changed.

Hosting the file in moddb.com is a good idea.... I've read in another forum (posted by Gambit) that they'd seen your mod. Great publicity!

Zed,

Started playing v3.09. So far, I've been on 11 levels.

A few questions though -
Spoiler
In the crypt, I'm guesing that a character must have the ability to complete the Dark Ritual? I'm using Ralph Heretic and when he does the dark ritual the door becomes transparent, but doesn't open. Ralph is a level 3 sorcerer. Does he need a higher level to open this door?
Spoiler
In the tavern, on the level above the wine cellar there is a locked door. I haven't been able to find this key, and the door isn't pickable. Any hints on where this key is?
Spoiler
In the ruins, on the 2nd lvl down there's a locked door (after the door with the monster with the emerald amulet) which again I don't have the key for. Any hints on where this key is?

Game completed in a little over 8.5 hours.

Fun game, but the lack of magic made things difficult. Plenty of monsters could shoot a lightning bolt at me and just kill my entire party. Very interesting how different characters can do different things, but it made some area unaccesible.
